According to the forecast from the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA), in the week of March 25th to 31st, "a change in the circulation pattern to a predominant westerly flow is expected".

Therefore, "the occurrence of precipitation is expected throughout the entire country from Monday, 25, with precipitation in the form of snow from the end of the day (above 1000 m), intensification of winds and the possibility of thunderstorms".

Precipitation "will continue throughout the week and may be persistent from Wednesday or Thursday onwards."

From Monday onwards, a "significant drop in air temperature is expected, with small fluctuations throughout the week, remaining below normal for the time of the year".

In general, the maximum temperature is expected to vary between 8 and 21°C and could reach 6°C at the beginning of the week in some places in the North and Central interior (for example in Guarda), according to IPMA.

The minimum temperature should vary between 0 and 14°C, reaching -2°C in the northern and central interior regions on the 25th and 26th.
