Tickets for the routes that Jet2 will operate from Bournemouth went on sale this Tuesday, March 26th, and, in addition to Madeira and Faro, include a further 14 destinations in Europe, the Canary Islands and the Mediterranean.

Jet2.com will operate 27 flights per week from Bournemouth, with emphasis on Madeira and Fuerteventura, in the Canaries, which are the two exclusive routes that Jet2 will operate from its new base.

In the case of Madeira, Jet2.com will operate one flight per week, on Thursdays, while up to two flights per week are planned for Faro, on Mondays and Fridays.

“We know that customers and independent travel agents have been asking us for a long time to make this change, so we are absolutely delighted to announce today that Bournemouth Airport will become our 12th base airport in the UK,” said Steve Heapy, chief executive of Jet2.

Travel Weekly recalls that the news of the opening of the new base in Bournemouth comes with just a few days to go before the air carrier begins operations at the new base in Liverpool, which also has flights to Portugal, as Jet2 will also start connecting the John Lennon Airport in Liverpool to Madeira and Faro.

Flights from Jet2.com's new base in Liverpool begin on March 28, 2024, and include one connection per week exclusively to Madeira and four weekly flights to Faro, Algarve.

In addition to Madeira and Faro, Jet2.com will also open routes to Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote, Alicante, Palma, Ibiza, Menorca, Antalya, Dalaman, Crete, Corfu, Rhodes and Zante from the new Bournemouth base.
