According to Automóvel Club de Portugal, the price of diesel will fall by 1.5 cents and petrol by 2 cents.
According to the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), the average price of a litre of diesel in Portugal on Friday (May 2) was 1.526 euros, while petrol was 1.684 euros.
You can also see that, compared to October 1, 2024, current prices reflect a 1.4 cent drop in diesel and a 2.5 cent increase in gasoline.
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel should be €1.511/l while that of regular 95 gasoline could fall to €1.664/l.
Please note that these forecasts are made based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures implemented by the government to mitigate price increases will continue.
