The Barcelona City Council has announced that La Sagrada Familia church will soon have a dedicated outdoor space where visitors can take photos, amid ongoing and increasing tourism at the landmark.

These measures come as part of the Action Plan, including the creation of a large plaza in front of the basilica to recover space on the pavement for local residents and cultural activities.
The construction of the new plaza is set to begin after the summer, with an estimated cost of €2.7 million, and is expected to be finalised by April 2026.
