According to the carrier, on urban routes in Lisbon, 76 of the 111 scheduled trains were cancelled, and on routes in Porto, 31 of the 52 scheduled were cancelled.
In the regionals, 67 were scheduled and 52 were suppressed.
CP - Comboios de Portugal indicated that all long-distance trains (13) were carried out between 00:00 and 08:00.
Contacted by Lusa this morning, Luís Bravo from SFRCI - Sindicato Ferroviário da Revisão Comercial Itinerante, who called the partial strike, said that the adhesion to the strike by CP ticket inspectors and workers, which began at 05:00 today and ends at 08:30, is 100%, with the 25% minimum services being complied with.
CP train drivers and inspectors are today on the penultimate day of their strike in defense of salary increases and collective bargaining, a stoppage that has caused several constraints on traffic.
The strikes called by several CP unions began on May 7 and will continue until Wednesday.
From Monday to Wednesday, the minimum services are fulfilled; however, decreed by the Arbitration Court.
Workers are demanding salary adjustments, the implementation of an agreement to restructure salary scales and the defense of collective bargaining.
The Train Drivers' Union (SMAQ) is today on its fourth day of overtime strike, which will run until Wednesday, while the Commercial Itinerant Railway Review Union (SFRCI) began a strike of ticket inspectors and ticket office workers on Sunday.
The partial strike by ticket inspectors and ticket agents, which began on the 11th and ends on Wednesday, takes place between 5:00 and 8:30.
Over the last week, CP – Comboios de Portugal has been warning about the disruptions caused by these strikes.
The strike by train drivers and inspectors on Monday cancelled the circulation of 632 trains (59%) of the 1,071 scheduled until 7 pm, mainly urban trains in Lisbon, CP indicated.
