Portimonense lost 2-1 at home to Ac.Viseu with the visitors taking the lead shortly before the break. Pires levelled matters six minutes into the second-half only for Diogo Fonseca to snatch the winner minutes later.

Olhanense had a disappointing trip, to the far north, where new boys Famalicão attracted a crowd of some 3228 fans for their first home game in the Second Division for twenty years. A sixth minute goal by João Mendes was all that separated the sides despite the home team’s dominance.
Olhanense fans will be looking for a vast improvement in the next two games, both at home, to Penafiel tomorrow (Saturday) and next Wednesday (26 August) against Lisbon side Atlético. Both games kick-off at 5pm at the José Arcanjo Stadium, Olhão (behind McDonalds on the EN125) and tickets at €6 and €10 will be on sale prior to the game.
