The draw staged at the UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland will see FC Porto play the German champions on 14 or 15 April in the first leg, with the return leg taking place a week later.

FC Porto have only once gone further than the quarter-final stage of the Champions League, when they ended up winning the lucrative competition under José Mourinho in the 2003/04 season.

They have also reached the quarter finals on three other occasions, losing twice to Manchester United (in 1996/97 and 2008/09) and once to Bayern in the 1999/2000 season.

The other matches in the last eight will see a repeat of last year's final, with Atletico Madrid taking on neighbours Real Madrid.

Paris Saint-Germain will have to beat Barcelona to reach the semi-finals, while Juventus will be playing Monaco.
