The information was included in a written answer from the stock exchange supervisor to Duarte Marques MP disclosed in a list of documents regarding the parliamentary inquiry into the management of BES/GES, published in the parliament’s website.
At the end of last year in a declaration from Sporting to the CMVM, it said that an Angolan company called Holdimo, connected with Álvaro Sobrinho, owned almost 30% of the club.
Meanwhile, Álvaro Sobrinho has “categorically” denied any “direct investment” in Sporting, despite being the largest individual shareholder.
Sobrinho also accused the CMVM of “reiterated impartiality” against him.
“It is (…) categorically false that I, Álvaro Sobrinho, or Holdimo, where I am a shareholder, have made any direct investment in Sporting”, he wrote.
