With these latest increases, Portugal has once again moved up on the list of the European countries where it is most expensive to refuel.
With the average cost of normal diesel rising to €1.269, Portugal is now the fifth most expensive EU country to refuel, behind Italy, Sweden, Denmark and the Netherlands.
Portugal does not fare better when it comes to unleaded fuel, with a cost of €1.499 the third highest in the EU, after the Netherlands and Denmark.
