Published by consultancy agency Bloom Consulting, Lisbon tops the City Brand table for the third consecutive year, followed by Oporto, Braga, Cascais and Coimbra, completing the top five.
Lisbon is therefore considered the best city in which to invest, live and visit in Portugal.
Rounding off the top ten spots are Sintra, Oeiras, Funchal, Guimarães and Aveiro, while the Algarve only has three municipalities – Faro, Albufeira and Portimão – in the top 25.
The Alentejo and Madeira each have one municipality in the top 25, and while the Azores has none, Ponta Delgada, the largest municipality and administrative capital of the autonomous island region, has climbed six places in the ranking in comparison to last year.
Leiria dropped the most places on the ranking, having fallen four places and out of the top 10 for the first time, to 12th place.
