Flights start on 28 April 2017 and will operate three times a week on a Tuesday, Friday and Sunday, which further underlines the northern city’s growing popularity as a top city break destination.

Marjan Schoeke, Monarch’s Head of Network Development said in a statement that the airline was “delighted to be announcing Porto from Birmingham Airport to the network for summer 2017”, adding that “flights to Porto follow on from a successful launch to the city from London Luton and Manchester airports back in September.”
