Nearly four kilos of hashish seized in Algarve seaside town
Two men have been arrested after 3.8 kilos of hashish were found and seized in the popular holiday resort of Armação de Pêra, in Silves (Algarve).
The arrests were made last Thursday following five searches conducted in the town by special intervention police, including three house searches.
As well as enough hashish to create 7,600 individual doses, police officers also seized weighing scales, self-defence spray, a baseball bat, five weapons, three rings and a pair of gold earrings, close to €400 in cash and various items relating to the transporting and packaging of drugs.
The special intervention officers also seized electronic equipment including eleven mobile phones, three laptops, a video camera, and an LCD TV.
