The gallery, which specialises in urban art and artists who engage in it, will be hosting the exhibition, titled ‘From the World, Made in Lisboa’, which includes "between two to four pieces" from each of the 13, all of whom have in the past made their name as street artists.

None of the works has been shown previously in public and they are "emblematic of the techniques of each one", Pauline Foessel, co-founder of Underdogs, explained to Lusa.

The gallery, located in Lisbon’s trendy Marvila neighbourhood, will be showing works by Portuguese-French artist André Saraiva, Anthony Lister from Australia, Clemens Behr from Germany, Olivier Kosta-Théfaine and WK Interact from France (though the has been latter based in New York since the early 1990s), Cyrcle and Shepard Fairey from the US, Ernest Zacharevic from Lithuania, Felipe Pantone from Argentina (now based in Spain), Okuda San Miguel and PichiAvo from Spain, and Pixel Pancho from Italy.

The Underdogs Gallery was inaugurated in July 2013 with an exhibition of works by the Cyrcle collective that, at that time, included two works on the streets of Lisbon and also created a limited-edition print on sale at Underdogs.
