Newspaper Correio da Manhã reports the measures were drawn up by the Misericórdia Parish, which covers Bairro Alto. These include convenience stores closing at 10pm and, should that fail to tackle the problematic issues, drinking in the street will only be allowed until 1am.
Every year, the parish spends €1.5 million cleaning popular night streets.
