The Portuguese parliament will also hear from former Defence Minister Paulo Portas and Foreign Affairs Minister Martins da Cruz.
The parliamentary commission on Foreign Affairs and the Portuguese Communities on Tuesday discussed a request from the Communist Party (PCP), which proposed the hearing.
The hearings were approved with votes in favour from the governing socialist party, PCP and Bloco de Esquerda, while opposition parties PSD and CDS-PP voted against them.
