Portugal has second most expensive electricity in Europe

This is an outrage for one of the poorest countries in Europe.
People are enslaved to their electricity and fuel costs.
This in a country with huge amounts of sunshine,wind and waves.
Wake up and start doing something about it.
This is a country stuck in medieval times with mass poverty and huge imbalances between rich and poor.

Maybe you could investigate the fact that EDP in Portugal can do whatever they want. We just paid 14000 euro just to get a electricity connection to our new house. Because there is no power left in the neighbourhood and the need to install a new high voltage unit, the customer pays for it. We asked for ele tricty power for a normal house (20 kVa) and are presented with a bill enough to give 10-20 houses with electricity (200 kVa)!
Portugal is not only the most expensive but has rules that are not legal in other european countrirs like Belgium, Holland, France, .....
