The report said that the financial situation of EU families continued to improve at about 1.5 percent a year driven by higher wages and that almost all Member State countries had seen household income go up except Portugal, Croatia, Greece, Italy, Spain and Holland.
The biggest drops in unemployment were in Portugal, which fell 2.4 percent to 7.8 percent and Greece, which dropped 2.7 percent to 20.7 percent.
