Bulgaria came in second in reducing carbon dioxide emissions (-8.1%), followed by Ireland (-6.8%), Germany (-5.4%), Holland (-4.6%) and Croatia (-4.3%).
The CO2 emissions went up in other countries, particularly Latvia (8.5%), Malta (6.7%) and Luxembourg (3.7%).
Carbon dioxide represents about 60% of all the greenhouse gases emitted in the EU.
How much should Portugal be reducing emissions by to meet the 1.5 degree warming reduction under the Paris Accord. Not putting things into the proper context amounts to Greenwashing
