From Thursday 5 February until Sunday, 8 February, the Chocolate in Lisbon event will take place in the Campo Pequeno arena, the result of a partnership between the Campo Pequeno and chocolate club Cacau Clube de Portugal.
Dozens of chocolate-based products created by national and international teams will bring a vast variety of chocolate bars, bonbons, truffles, macaroons, cakes and even teas and spices to the Portuguese capital in what promises to be a true extravaganza for those with a bit of a sweet tooth.
The programme also includes a series of workshops on Saturday and Sunday; show-cooking demonstrations and tasting events.
Filipe Frazão, who spearheads the initiative, said: “More than 35,000 people are expected to attend this year’s edition 2015, which features a new space, ‘Chocolate is a Jewel’, an attraction that promises surprises with style and refinement. In fact, we will display unique pieces of jewellery designed by Tania Gil replicated in chocolate by renowned pastry chef Anderson Miotto, of the Myriad by Sana Hotel. Visitors can watch a real show with models showcasing these jewels.”
Chocolates from around the world will be on offer at the event, from countries including Portugal, Belgium, Switzerland, Spain, France, Italy, the UK, São Tomé and Príncipe, the USA and Vietnam. Around 70 renowned brands will also be taking part.
Entrance costs €3.50.
