The Flower Power Fest is the biggest festival of its kind in Portugal and this year, with the support of Cascais Council, features bands such as the Beach Boys Band, Ten Years After, Ottowan, Inner Circle, and Big Mountain, as well as a number of top-notch tribute acts, honouring Genesis and David Bowie, among others.
Recently voted the Best New Festival in Portugal and the Best Small Festival on the Iberian Peninsula, Flower Power Fest has also been distinguished by the Environment Minister as one of the leading festivals with best environmental practices.
This year, in its new home, it aims to offer a more family-oriented atmosphere, with camping, games, workshops, hair braiding and face painting, yoga, arts and crafts, photography and foods of the world.
It also promises eight hours of music a day with bands, artists and DJs.
Flower Power Fest takes place on 3, 4 and 5 August, on Carcavelos Beach, Cascais.
