According to gambling news site Cardschat.com, Portuguese poker player advocacy group ANAon has proposed a boycott of the country’s regulated online poker market in protest at the regulators’ decision to ring-fence player pools. Portugal’s long-awaited online gambling reforms came into force last year on 28 June, although the market is currently closed during the ongoing license application process. However, an announcement last month that Portugal would be adopting the French model of a partial segregation of its player pool has angered the country’s poker players.
