Jeremy Corbyn sent flowers and wrote a homage card to the 35-year-old victim, a former model, who presumably died because of the weather conditions in London.

The Portuguese government confirmed on Thursday that a Portuguese national, the local police said was homeless, had died in London and that the consular services were trying to contact the man’s family.

The man’s death caused some controversy as he died so near Westmister, the centre of power in the UK.

The president of Portugal published a message on his official site this morning about the death of the Portuguese national in “inhuman circumstances”.
