In a statement the university said that the team discovered that the protein annexin A2 (ANXA2) plays an important role in the regulation of one of the major cell signalling pathways involved in the development of different types of tumours.
According to the researchers, their work has unveiled new molecular and cellular mechanisms that regulate cancer cells.
