The action starts on Friday, and will last until the 10th of May.
A court on Monday had ruled that certain flights deemed crucial, such as certain domestic connections and those to seven European destinations such as the UK, be secured through a minimum number of flights.
The industrial action is expected to affect up to 300,000 passengers, the company said, with losses estimated to climb to tens of millions of euros.
I am looking for another holiday destination instead.

There comes a time when a few people have too much power and abuse it. This is a classic example of a privileged few causing financial misery to many. I own a small travel business specialising in holidays to the Azores and these strikes represent a huge investment in time and a substantial loss of income - not to mention hours of unpaid work trying to help clients find alternatives trips. Please grow up and think of the hundreds of thousands of people this action will affect.

Worst airline ever ,have flight booked during strike period, trying to contact tap is impossible,no info whatsoever regarding cancellation or departure , never use tap, wake up pilots, its a
failing airline ,who would want to by an airline with that much debt and then give you a percentage of the company?,I thought pilots were supposed t be intelligent

What a shambles TAP are. The pilots are no more than vindictive money grabbers. But the management have not made things better They have known about the strike for nearly 2 weeks, so where are the extra telephone lines and the extra staff manning them?? Where is the company policy covering the strike?? What good does it do the company not answering their phones and making paying clients angry and frustrated?? I have been told to go to Gatwick airport on Sunday and if there is no plane I will get a refund. Big deal Too late to book with another airline.. And if there is a pilot for flight to Lisbon should I get on it and when I get to Lisbon find there is no plane or pilot for the Atlantic leg to Rio. Absolute chaos !!! And my passenger rights ... TO BE DUMPED ON BY IDIOTS WITH THEIR HEADS UP THEIR A>>RSES.
