A motion by the Left Block to this effect was approved unanimously by parliament's committee on economy innovation and public works, which is to look into the matter.

Fake food seized

Over 10,000 tonnes of illegal food and drink have been seized by authorities as part of the biggest-ever global crackdown on such goods. The three-month operation involved police forces in 57 countries and the raids uncovered items including monkey meat and enough fake alcohol to fill 12,000 baths, including 10,000 litres of adulterated liquor in the UK. In Italy officers even found 85 tonnes of olives painted with copper sulphate to enhance their colour.
