According to a decree signed off by President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa , new rules regulating these platforms will come into effect as from November.
The protest is being staged in Lisbon, Porto and Faro.
Taxis in the Algarve capital have this morning already gathered along the EN125 national road leading to and from the Faro International Airport.
