One of our most popular walks that never disappoints. 2 hours of fairly easy walking with one gentle climb, the walk takes you along the banks of the Arade and Odelouca rivers.
10.00 am start – meet at the Mira Rio cafe on the road between Silves and Monchique. From the EN125 take the road to Silves, turn left to cross the bridge into Silves. Once across the bridge turn left at the lights and follow the road for 5km – the cafe is on the left on a bend.

Friday October 29 – Let’s Walk around Funcho Lake
A walk of 2.5 hours through totally unspoilt countryside and along the sides of Funcho lake, moderate with two climbs
10.00 am start, meet at cafe/restaurant O Gralha in Vale Fuzeiros. From Silves take the road towards Messines and after 9km turn left to Amorosa. Drive through Amorosa on the main road and you will then see a left turn to Vale Fuzeiros. When you come into the village the cafe is 200m along on the right. Or take IC1 Lisbon road and exit for Silves / SB Messines. Follow signs for Silves and after 2.5km turn right for Amorosa and Vale Fuzeiros.
