Montalegre (1,036) and Albufeira (997) are the municipalities with the highest 14 day incidence of infections by Covid-19, reaching the highest level of incidence as last week.
According to data released in the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), there are 220 municipalities with an incidence of more than 120 cases of infection by the SARS-COV-2 virus per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days (11 less).
Of these 220 municipalities, 14 have a cumulative incidence of 14 days between 480 and 959.9 cases between August 26 and September 1, 13 less compared to the previous week (27).
Data from the DGS also indicate that, in the last 14 days, 73 counties surpassed 240 cases of infection per 100,000 inhabitants, 19 less than on the previous Friday (92).
With no case of infection by the new coronavirus in the last 14 days, there are now nine municipalities: Avis, Calheta (Azores), Freixo de Espada à Cinta, Lajes das Flores, Mora, Santa Cruz da Graciosa, Santa Cruz das Flores, Tabuaço and Vila do Porto.
