Inaugurated in the first half of 2022, Ageas Tejo, designed
by architect Eduardo Capinha Lopes, represents an investment of around €75
million and is spread over 12 floors.
Located in Parque das Nações, occupying a plot of 7400 m2
and with a height of 62.5 m2, Ageas Tejo is an iconic building, destined to
project a strong and differentiated corporate image. Aimed to reflect current
and future work circumstances, the development is aligned with the company's
ESG values and focused on environmental awareness, sustainability, and social
responsibility.
For Steven Braekeveldt, CEO of the Ageas Portugal Group,
“the distinction of the World Architecture Festival proves that it is possible
to create a high-quality work environment, consistent with a modern workplace”.
The CEO pointed out: “winning this award reflects, to a large extent, the investment
in the well-being of our employees and how this point is fundamental for the
growth of the business”. And he concluded that “it is a building where people
feel at home and where creativity and innovation thrive”.
With an architecture competition with entries from around
the world, including Portugal, Malaysia, Finland, Mexico, Turkey, Australia,
Japan, India, and the United Kingdom, the World Architecture Festival celebrates
the best, most recent, and completed buildings and projects. Among the 420
finalists, the Ageas Portugal Group was one that stood out.
The building is in line with all sustainability goals and is
BREEAM certified. The architect created areas with plenty of natural light
inside the building, providing quality work and comfort to the employees who
work in the building. The facades are dynamic and marked by the interaction
with the outside, which also results in a marketing and social media
perspective.
Considered one of the biggest annual events of international
architecture, the World Architecture Festival (WAF) took place in Lisbon
between November 30th and December 2nd of this year. It is the only meeting in
the sector where keynote speakers, by influential figures in the sector,
coexist with live presentations of more than 500 finalist projects,
representing a global networking network.
