According to a new report, from a total of 45,554 processes received by the ERS, 37,872 refer to complaints, 6,956 to praise and 499 to suggestions. More than 220 processes have mixed classification.
Of the total number of cases submitted to the ERS, 69 percent refer to establishments providing healthcare in the public sector, including establishments managed under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) regime.
Of the 37,872 complaints received in the first half of the year, more than 4,400 refer to the Regional Health Administration (ARS) of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo, 2,686 to ARS Norte and 2,443 to the University Hospital Center of Porto.

The report shows that 20,760 of the processes received by the ERS are related to 107 public sector establishments with internment, which represent 45.6 percent of the total submitted processes.
