The summer camps are aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 15, featuring three programs, throughout five days, to promote fun moments, raise awareness and environmental education.

Considering the interests of the children, the theme park offers three programs: the Guardians Zoomarine Program, Clube do Sam and Boa Onda.

During the five days of the Clube do Sam program, participants can enjoy swimming pools, entertainment, zoological presentations, visits to habitats and even educational activities related to the animals they will meet, reinforcing fundamental behaviours for the protection of nature.

The Guardians of Zoomarine program, in addition to including all the activities of the Clube do Sam modality, also offers the opportunity to explore some private behind-the-scenes areas and speak to technicians from different areas, to understand their day-to-day life and the fundamental role they play in the care and well-being of Zoomarine’s residents and visitors.

Aimed at an exclusive group of eight children per week, aged 10 to 15, the Boa Onda program offers participation in all Zoomarine activities, initiatives to raise awareness for the protection of Oceans and three mornings dedicated to surfing, at Praia da Galé, led by a surf teacher.

The programs will take place between 9am and 5.45pm, from Monday to Friday, with a total of 72 weekly participants, distributed across the three existing options. Prices start at €150, registrations are now open on the park’s official website.

In addition to the summer camp program, Zoomarine will also host a variety of educational activities throughout the year, such as the “Night at the Aquarium” initiative, in which children can participate in games, have fun next to the “oceanus” aquarium, where they can learn interesting facts about the species that live there, including sharks, and “The Secret Life at the Zoo” initiative, aimed at the school community, offering an opportunity to discover the park, sleep there and get to know the resident species better.

Zoomarine considers the summer camp program and initiatives for children to be a way of promoting environmental education and animal welfare, distinguishing themes of the park’s mission. As well as providing a social response to the community’s demand for fun, educational and safe programs, where parents can leave their children during the school holidays.
