According to the weekly DGS report, 7,941,747 people, equivalent to 78 perent of the Portuguese population, have already completed their vaccination against the SARS-CoV-2 virus and 8,759,684 (85 percent) have received at least one dose of the vaccine.
By age group, the same data indicate that there are now 156,088 young people between 12 and 17 years old with full vaccination (25%) and that 504,023 (81%) have already been inoculated with one dose.
In the group between 18 and 24 years old, the DGS registers an advance in complete vaccination, which in the space of a week went from 50% to 64%, totalling 499,757 people who completed the vaccination process.
Both for people between 65 and 79 years old, as well as for the elderly over 80 years old, the report indicates a complete vaccination of 99%.
In terms of vaccination coverage, the North and Centre regions lead in terms of complete vaccination (78%), closely followed by the Alentejo and Madeira (77%), Azores (75%) and Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (72%)
The Algarve, which registered a rate of 67% the previous week, has now reached the level of 70% of its residents with the complete vaccination process.
