According to a statement released by the Vinho Verde Region
Viticulture Commission (CVRVV), the northern region of the country expects a
record in relation to last year's values.
"The numbers for 2022 until November are quite
encouraging, so the Vinho Verde Region maintains the expectation of closing the
year with a new export record", said the president of CVRVV, Dora Simões,
quoted in a statement.
This year, the Vinho Verde region will focus on promotion in
three markets, "recording a return to the United Kingdom and the debut in
Poland and South Korea".
According to Dora Simões, South Korea, "like Mexico, is
a small market with great potential", having registered "a growth of
more than 30% in volume and 48% in value until November".
