Vaccinations were accessible on 5 July to people between 18 and 29 years of age.
The availability of self-scheduling, however, is only accessible from 27 years of age.
Self-scheduling allows people to select the place and date they wish to be vaccinated, and then receive an SMS message confirming the day, time and vaccination centre. Confirmation of the appointment requires that a reply is sent to the SMS.
Following phase 2 of the vaccination plan and an increased number of vaccines received by Portugal, the portal for self-scheduling went live on 23 April for people aged 65 and over, and has since become available for bookings for the 50, 40 and 30 age groups.
According to the latest vaccination weekly report released by the DGS, 5,335,683 people have already received at least one dose and 3,295,132 have the complete vaccination, which represents 32 percent of the population.
