The airline said on Tuesday this was the first time it had broken the 6,000,000 barrier.
José Lopes, Easyjet manager for Portugal, told Lusa News Agency that the company was still operating the same eight aircraft in the country.
“We managed this increase by using planes from other bases”, he explained, adding that passenger numbers in Lisbon were up 20 percent,
“in line with the rest of the country”, reaching 2.5 million people.
