Organised by the Via do Infante Users’ Committee, the honkalong will take place along the EN125 between Quatro Estradas (Loulé) and Lagoa.
It is being staged on what no doubt will be one of the busiest days of the Easter holidays, as thousands of holidaymakers return home following a long weekend in the Algarve.
The action aims to raise awareness about the perils of the EN125, which is commonly used as an alternative to the A22 and which the organisers describe as “a real major disaster area”, and thus demand an end to the “Death Toll” on the A22.
