“We hope to export about €744 million despite the loss of some €65 million in sales to Angola over the last two years”, the ViniPortugal boss told reporters at a meeting in Lisbon.
In spite of this drop, because of the economic crisis and the foreign Exchange problems that Angola is facing, the Portuguese wine exports managed to place their products in other markets such as the USA, Canada, Poland, Cyprus, Japan and Norway.
Founded in 1997, ViniPortugal is the interprofessional association of the wine industry and it manages the ‘Wines of Portugal’ brand.
