Organised by the União das Freguesias de Lagoa e Carvoeiro, Banho 29 will once again bring together the residents of the Lagoa and Carvoeiro Senior Centres, who will perform the ritual of bathing in the sea on the beach.

Every year, the seniors turn up for Banho 29 and gather by the seafront where they fearlessly enter the water.

To maintain this tradition, the União de Freguesias de Lagoa organises the meeting with the Senior Centres, which tourists join at the end of the season in full costume.
