The Algarve's most famous annual sardine festival is back! Live music, entertainment, lots of fresh fish and sardines galore! The Portimão Sardine Festival is a must-see.

Sardines have been a part of the Algarve’s tradition and culture for many years and this fish has remained a favourite with locals and visitors to the region – grilled to perfection over charcoal and eaten with Portuguese bread and a fresh salad – delicious!
