The 2021 iteration of the InClassica International Music Festival, organised by the European Foundation for Support of Culture (EUFSC) and SAMIT Event Group, will soon be arriving in Dubai, with the festival scheduled to run from August 15th to September 26th.
A multitude of world-renowned soloists shall be travelling to the United Arab Emirates city to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the annual classical music festival, with the breath-taking Dubai Opera and spectacular Coca-Cola Arena being selected as the two venues for the festival’s array of concerts.
Internationally celebrated artists like cellist Steven Isserlis, pianist Rudolf Buchbinder, soprano Danielle De Nies, violinist Maxim Vengerov, violinist Gil Shaham, pianist Denis Matsuev, and many others, are set to perform in collaboration with a host of top orchestras from over the world, including the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra (Israel), Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz (Germany), Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (UK), Russian National Orchestra (Russia), and many others. The musicians shall also be joined by a number of preeminent conductors who shall be taking charge of proceedings, including Gergely Madaras (Hungary), Dmitry Yablonsky (Israel/USA/Spain), Daniel Raiskin (Russia/Netherlands), and Alexander Shelley (UK), to name a few.
The music on display shall be no less illustrious than the musicians performing it, with a series of beloved compositions from some of the most revered composers in the classical music canon having been specifically chosen to delight all those in attendance. These will be paired with a selection of music from a number of contemporary composers as well, chief among which shall be that of Composer-in-Residence Alexey Shor.
In addition, this year’s festival will see the inclusion of a series of special events that will be held apart from the concerts themselves. The grand finale of the EUFSC’s Classic Piano International Competition shall come first, featuring the winners of 14 preliminary international competitions testing their abilities against each other over four stringent rounds. This shall be followed by the three-week Middle East Classical Music Academy, that will be comprised of a series of lectures and masterclasses in the faculties of piano, strings, and wind, accompanied by daily lunchtime concerts.
