Bragança and Guarda have been under yellow warning for persistent fog today, a level that will rise to orange between 00:00 on Saturday and 09:00 on Monday, December 25th, says the IPMA in a statement.

Vila Real and Viseu will be under a yellow warning in the same period, due to the forecast of persistent fog and cold weather, with the continuation of low temperatures, especially in places where the fog persists.

Yellow warnings relating to cold weather are also in force in Bragança and Guarda from 00:00 on Saturday until 09:00 on Christmas Day.

According to the most up-to-date information from IPMA, between today and Tuesday, December 26th, the weather in mainland Portugal will be influenced by an anticyclone, located northeast of the Azores and extending to the northern part of the Iberian Peninsula.
