The commander of the local fire department, Paulo Ferreira,
told Lusa that six of the children were transported to the hospital in
Guimarães, as a precaution.
The commander told Lusa that the bus crashed into a wall,
about five kilometres from the school, and that the children were transferred
to another vehicle that took them to school, where “some began to
complain” of injuries.
It was there, he said, that the firefighters and the team of
the Immediate Life Support (SIV) vehicle from Fafe provided assistance to the
victims, resulting in some of them being taken to the hospital as a precaution.
