According to the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and the Atmosphere (IPMA), all of Portugal’s 18 districts will be under a yellow weather warning between 00:00 and 15:00 on Wednesday due to the forecast of periods of rain or showers, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms.
The IPMA also issued a yellow weather warning for 14 districts on due to the forecast of strong southerly winds with gusts up to 85 kilometres per hour on the coast and up to 100 kilometres predicted in some areas.
In the districts of Porto, Braga and Viana do Castelo the yellow warning will be in effect between 21:00 on Tuesday and 12:00 on Wednesday. In Viseu, Guarda, Faro, Vila Real, Setúbal, Lisbon, Leiria, Beja, Castelo Branco, Aveiro, Coimbra between 00:00 and 09:00 on Wednesday.
