The existence of this beach is certainly no secret but that doesn’t mean that it is not worth mentioning anyway. The beach is on the coast of one of the biggest cities in the Algarve, Portimão. It is surrounded by the typical sandstone cliffs and has a vast array of facilities on offer. First off, there is a wooden boardwalk along the entire beach, which has a length of more than one kilometre, plus several smaller boardwalks towards the water, making this an accessible beach for everyone. There are also lots of restaurants to choose from, all with gorgeous views and right on the sand. The beach has lifeguards along the water throughout the bathing season and for everyone that is interested there is a surf school and a number of other fun water activities. This beach has something on offer for every kind of visitor.
