You may know Praia da Rocha and Fortaleza Santa Catarina, but you will see that this city has much more to offer.
Raymond & Gerty have lived in Portimão for over six years and are your guides during the walk. It promises to be a nice trip through the lesser known (read less touristic) part of this city. Portimão is above all a port city and is also one of the largest cities in the Algarve. Portimão has always been closely linked to fishing. The largest sardine fleet in Portugal still sails here and fishing is an important part of the local economy.
We start at 10:30 am at the entrance of the Museum de Portimão. The walk takes about an hour and a half and ends at the Praça Manuel Teixeira Gomes with a cup of coffee and a snack.
Members pay € 5.00, non-members € 7.50.
