In a response sent to the Lusa News Agency, the Regional Health Administration of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo (ARSLVT) indicates that there is an active outbreak of Covid-19 associated with a wedding held in a restaurant in Aveiras de Cima, in the district of Lisbon, with the starting point for the outbreak being focused on a positive case of an employee of a bakery in Alenquer (neighbouring municipality of Azambuja), whose owner is the father of the groom.
According to ARSLVT, some employees of this bakery attended the wedding, which increased the transmission of the virus.
The Lisbon and Vale do Tejo ARS states that “tests were carried out on all guests, DJ`S, photographers and restaurant staff and all high-risk contacts were isolated within 48 hours”.
According to ARSLVT, most of the positive cases that emerged in this outbreak were “high-risk contacts” and tested positive when they were already in isolation.
The Regional Health Administration of Lisbon and Vale do Tejo also reports that 130 people were tested and, so far, 26 positive cases have been identified.
As they know who all the 130 people are, I do trust that they have been arrested and fined for breaking the law so blatantly.
