Graça Freitas in isolation after high-risk contact

The director-general of Health, Graça Freitas, is in prophylactic isolation, after having had a high-risk contact on 9 July with a person infected with covid-19, according to the Directorate- General Health, in a statement.

“The health authorities that carried out the epidemiological inquiry considered they were facing a high-risk contact, having to comply with the norms of the General Directorate of Health”, refers the same note.

According to the statement released on 13 July, Graça Freitas will be working remotely during the isolation period.

The Director-General of Health has already had the disease, recovered from the SARS-CoV-2 infection and was vaccinated for more than 14 days, recalls the same note.
