Across the continental territory, the requirement of a digital certificate or negative test for access to tourist establishments and local accommodation is maintained.

Here we go again. People living in this country would not die with the virus but with all these restrictions with no government support yet we still pay taxes and other government fee. But they expect to get another dose of support. But I really wonder (and I hope the Portuguese people would wake already) where are all these funds going to? To the flagship airline of the country? road constructions that were already fix? where? the government should give the people a run down of where they are using the funds cause at the end of this all when its time to pay the people will be the ones obliged to pay for it through the taxes.

240 in 100,000 (i.e. 0.24%) of people, many assymptomatic, show positive for Covid-19 resulting in 99.76% of Algarvians having their businesses in tatters, children on holiday being deprived of Slide and Splash and Zoomarine and there are no Lagoa Show, White Nights, Theatre events etc.
How long before the 99.76% rebel against these ridiculous, nonsensical, unjustifiable authoritarian rulings ?

Christiaan, covid 19 is season flu 2020... the blown up death numbers come from the crazy idea to count all deaths including car accidents, cancer and heart diseases as the flu if the person had only small signs of flu symptom 30 days before dying.
What is the point of these experimental vaccines when they say vaccinated people can still spread the flu? It doesnt make sense...
Where can you observe all the extreme sick people, in which area, street or town?
Are ambulances going in shuttle traffic day and night?
Hospitals in Portugal are they packed full of people with flu illness?
Flu and sars viruses cause problems for people with other serious health issues or old age, regardless if you think this flu is not season flu 2020, it is a mild disease and younger people or people with normal and good health is not dying from it, all lf this draconian illegal measures prolong the flu season and is making no sense.
Portuguese people are silent and appear to accept that it is normal to have to get a stick up the nose to eat in McDonalds, it is amazing how far people can be manipulated and bullied.
I can answer your question, yes it is illegal according to EU charters and Portugal charter rights to prevent free movement and stop free trade with services and goods because of vaccination against a flu, do we need tests or certificates to show if people have hepatities a or b, measles, smallpox, yellow fever, TBC, hanta virus, ebola, TBE infections before eating in restaurants?
There has been no cases with bird flu, svine flu or this so called Wuhan flu from any restaurant. Why have Sweden been open from day 1 of this flu with no lock downs, no mask mandates, no curfews, no state of emergencies, no travel banning, no police state, no test requirements in any location, please I want your reply, why is Sweden totally outside this madness? and let me add Sweden have now gone against IATA and removed masks inside domestic flights.

The Portuguese Government is doing a good job. All we have and can do is to obey and think about those around us.
By Erik Johansson from Beiras on 16 Jul 2021, 10:56
The comments here are insane and I wonder if half aren't from bots because I cannot imagine people being so idiotic to complain about a government's attempt to protect its people from a highly transmissible deadly virus - especially when vaccinations are lagging. If you feel your freedoms are being trampled upon or "the deep state" (lol) is trying to get you, take your miserable paranoid attitude to Yakutsk and live there. Really, the audacity of complaining that children on holiday won't get to use a water slide. WHO CARES. Get some perspective.
By TS from Lisbon on 16 Jul 2021, 12:43
If you don't like the way we do things here in Portugal, please go back to wherever you are from. Here they are trying to control a deadly pandemic and a variant that even infects fully vaccinated people. Either get with the plan, wear masks, socially distance yourselves and behave like intelligent, educated people, or get lost. I am glad that we Portuguese people follow the recommendations and wear masks and stay home. Please do the same.
By TJ from Lisbon on 16 Jul 2021, 13:10

People, it doesn't help to rant here under the comments and preach to the converted. Actions speak louder than words.
Simple action: Absolutely refuse to take this and carry on with your lives, keep you businesses running and refuse all the s#!t they are trying to lay on us.
Lockdowns are actually prison!
This is not controlled by the Portuguese government, but by sinister people who wants to enslave AND "vaccinate" you and me! Standup and be counted! Now is the time for action.
Take
1. No Lockdowns
2. No masks
3. No restrictions on people mingling or meeting.
4. No social distancing!
5. No Vaccines!
Why you say?
Well, 96% of the 17000+ people that died in Portugal, were over 60!
87% of the 17 000 were over 70!
They locked the country down for just 700 (Just under 4%) people who died under 60.
The people under 60 are the one's who make the economy work and the government closed the country for 700 deaths! Don't believe me, go look at the statistical breakdowns, etc...
They are lying to the people in the world, not just in Portugal!
By Neil from Beiras on 16 Jul 2021, 14:08
mmm…and all those poor bastards that died an ugly and lonely death the last two years? Are they part of this conspiracy? Maybe we should organize a special area for those that will not be vaccinated? Must be great to be able to live amongst your peers, all equally smart and on to the tricks of the government.

YOUR BEHAVIOUR OR RATHER MISBEHAVIOUR WILL KILL ME.. This is a message to all those who selfishly think it is OK for people over 60 to kick the bucket! I am 70, a humanitarian, serve my community well, collect rubbish off the road to keep my town clean, that the likes of you do not care to do, started an association to care for street animals which saves my council loads of money, shop locally to encourage the local economy, writing a book, help patients for free online, support the uprising in my country and believe in human rights. You think it is OK for me to die because I am old and economically unviable? You are a selfish bigot. Thank you Portugal for caring about us. Pity you have opened your doors to some who do not deserve it!
By Hana from Other on 17 Jul 2021, 00:15
Peaceful protests have their place. If the Portuguese want to demonstrate, they will. They don't need foreigners living among them to tell them how to do things...your not in Kansas anymore. For those who are in Kansas, it's so easy for you to sit on your butt in front of a computer or cellphone and tell people somewhere else to wake up and rise up, while you actually do absolutely nothing!
Unfortunately, those who refuse the vaccines and safety protocols are actually to blame, not the government, for this whole thing dragging on, and in turn, the continuing restrictions! When you got vaccines as a child, you taught your immune system to recognize viruses and it impeded their replication and you didn't get sick, or only got mildly sick. By not being vaccinated now, if you get it, it's allowed to replicate freely in your cells, and you can get severely ill, and, in the mean time you share it with others because you don't follow safety protocols, especially since you like to hangout with others who think like you. And when it comes to variants, that's just a natural consequence of the virus replicating. It sometimes gets stronger; it sometimes gets weaker. Again, by not getting vaccinated, you allow the virus free will to replicate and mutate into variants, instead of teaching your immune system to recognize and impede the virus.
You cried as a child when you got your shots, time to grow up.

TJ from Lisbon, there is no pandemic at all, statistics tell the truth no significant mortality in any European country year 2020, you must read and compare the official data since 1999 to 2021 and also count increase in population via migration.
Please can you explain why this flu virus is finished in Florida, Texas and Sweden but in Portugal it is hysteria?
In Sweden 99% of the people never used a mask since february 2020 and now in July 2021 peace and tranquility in Sweden. I am curious is this wuhan flu virus targeting only Portugal and France and UK but decided to leave Sweden alone?
I shall ask in this way: when in the past for any illness was people banned from public transport and hotels and restaurants based on vaccination?

13-year-old Jacob Clynick had just finished eighth grade when he received his second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on June 13. Jacob was healthy, says his aunt Tammy Burages, and he had no known underlying health problems. He complained of common symptoms after vaccination, such as fatigue and fever, during the two days that elapsed from the injection until he died. On the night of June 15, he also had a little stomach ache, but it was not difficult enough to cause serious concern or seek medical attention. Jacob fell asleep that night and never woke up.
The family has now been informed that preliminary autopsy results indicate that Jacob's heart was enlarged, and that there was fluid around the heart.
However, authorities have not acknowledged any proven connection with the vaccine, but say they are investigating the matter.
"We can confirm that we are conducting an investigation, and that's all I can say," said Randy Pfau, chief operating officer of The Michigan Institute of Forensic Science and Medicine, which is in regular contact with the National Public Health Agency CDC about Jacob's death.
"It is still an ongoing investigation. I know that the doctors prioritize this case ", he continues.
No cause of death was listed on Jacob's death certificate, which could take several months to determine. Jacob's funeral was on June 26, just three days after a CDC committee acknowledged "a likely link" between Pfizer's and Modern's coronavirus vaccines and a risk of heart problems, something New Times recently reported.
Although it is still unclear what caused Jacob's death, his aunt hopes that federal investigators will at least find some clues from his autopsy investigation.
"This is one such thing where I suspect they will never be able to say, 'It's the syringe,'" or "It was not the syringe," said the aunt.
The Ministry of Health in Saginaw County, where Jacob lived, is now urging people to weigh the benefits against the risks of taking the vaccine, contrary to the CDC's recommendation.
"The Ministry of Health continues to encourage families to talk to their doctors in order to weigh the risks and benefits of vaccination," they write in a press release. They further write that the possible connection is being investigated by the CDC.
"The investigation into whether there is a link between his death and the vaccination is now at the federal level and the CDC."

Elle from Porto here.
The best way to determine whether or not you have the Delta or the Lambda or the “Siberian Strain” Variants of covid-19 is to get an anal swab PCR test
Anal Swab is a painless procedure that is useful in detecting covid infections on the anal canal.
Anal Swab follows the science. It is a procedure where a sample of cells or secretions is taken from the anus for testing.
Why is an Anal Swab done?
An Anal Swab is done to see if you are positive for the Delta or Lambda Variant of Covid
How is an Anal Swab done?
You will be asked to remove your pants and lie down on the couch. The usual position is with you lying on your side and your knees pulled up to your chest. Imagine like you are curling up into a ball. This is commonly known as the ‘Fetal Position’.
Either a small cotton tip stick or a small rubber brush is inserted about 5cm into the rectum. It is then rotated gently and withdrawn.
The whole procedure only takes a few minutes and is painless.
Is an Anal Swab painful?
No. The procedure is very fast and is painless. It is done in the Doctor’s office and does not require any anesthesia.
How long will it take for you to know the results of your Anal Swab?
Different tests require different times to run. Generally you should have the results in about a week.
If you are concerned of certain covid symptoms or infections, please let Our Doctors know. We encourage a very open and non-judgemental discussion of your medical problems. Only then can we provide you with sound and prudent medical advice.
If you are experiencing any discharge, itch, pain or lumps in and around your anus, you should discuss this with our doctors.

So and so was walking along on the side of the road enjoying some fresh air, what's left of it, when they were struck by a car and killed. You are urged to weigh the risks and the benefits of going for walks. A bicyclist was hit and killed. You are urged to weigh the risks and the benefits of riding bicycles. There was a car accident and someone was killed. You are urged to weigh the risks and the benefits of driving a car. A plane crashed and everyone died. You are urged to weigh the risks and the benefits of flying. The cause of death in these situations are all clear, yet, people still walk, bicycle, drive, and fly.

TJ, can you explain what pandemic are you talking about? your comment says it all... if the vaccines as you say doesnt work why take them? and if the virus is still in Portugal after 2 years then all the things you mentioned in your comment like social distancing, masks and stay home nothing works. When vaccines dont work, masks dont work why and the tests is the biggest scam ever why then impose virus certificates for a virus that by nature mutate every day, it is crazy and it is pure evil to divide up the population
DO YOU want civil war and huge riots in Europe, what do you think happens if 30% or more people are denied access to supermarkets and basic services?
What do you want stay home until you are dead from old age?
Flu viruses can not be controlled or cured permanently by vaccines, only way for a virus to go away is to allow nature to do its work.
