The man was found by people around 15:00, in Calções, after which the firefighters and an INEM team went to the scene, who found "the man unconscious, but not in cardiorespiratory arrest", said local fire commander, Paulo Ferreira.

At the site it was possible to see “that the man had cervical lesions, as he did not move his upper or lower limbs”, said the fire commander.

The victim was then transported to Hospital de Braga.
