Since then we have been trying without success to obtain a vaccination certificate
We both have up-to-date I-phones with Portuguese numbers- for two months now I have been trying to obtain the code number to get the certificate without success
I have been to the local health centre in Lagoa and directly given our phone numbers to the staff there I have correctly entered our birth dates SNS numbers and other details and yet the system does not work!
What happens in the case of older people who may not have a phone with a screen and have no idea what an "app" is? Why does the SNS not provide a paper or plastic vaccination certificate for those who have problems with digital and electronic media? In early November we are supposed to go on a trip to Porto and Braga- but in order to stay in a hotel we need a vaccination certificate!
Why is the government ignoring the needs of a large section of the population?

From October 1 a covid certificate is no longer necessary in restaurants and hotels, so for the time being you're okay for your trip. But they still should provide one to show you're vaccinated.

Old people or any person who doesn't have a mobile phone can go to their local council

I downloaded the sns24 app onto my phone. It is then a simple process to obtain a certificate. You must however remember to select the type of certificate you require.

It would be much more efficient to integrate the certificate into the app instead of making it a downloadable pdf.

Well, sorry to hear but you are not the only victims of XIX century Portuguese admin! After 2 months of asking, begging and waiting together with my partner have finally received the vaccine. Unfortunately my partners name contains error on the certificate and I am unable even to access it. It is the 3rd week of calls and visits to Health Center yet still no light at the end of the tunnel. We are about to travel to London for a medical appointment and it seems that after 2 years of delay in the treatment due to Covid we will still be unable to do it!!!! On top of this my details regarding type of vaccine are wrong too! What a mess! Portugal should be embarrassed! I think it is about time to start raising the case higher up the ranks and am certain that local newspaper would like to be included too!
